Rik Barnett is a British actor and writer based in the UK. Primarily based in the North West of England, Rik works regionally, nationally and internationally.
With actor training covering a blend of methodologies, Rik has trained in both the UK and the US, including time at the Lee Strasberg Theater Institute and UCLA.
Rik Barnett has both written for, and been a featured subject, in a number of magazines around the globe.
After finding his stride as a performer (winner of the Best Supporting Actor Award at the 2010 IIFF) Rik has been honing his writing skills – this has always been of keen interest to him – and now his full length and fringe playscripts are regularly performed.
His previous work in theatre performance, screen acting, voice acting, modelling and writing has seen Rik work across the world including the USA, New Zealand, Thailand and several countries in Europe.
Rik is a fervent reader and an avid swimmer, enjoying working on a range of projects and spending his time with his cockapoo, Wonka.
Rik Barnett is always seeking new ideas, collaborators and commissions for projects and productions; and has launched his own small-scale production company MRB Productions. His production company develops new works, and is revisiting existing material, in the UK. Through this production company, Rik anticipates building a strong profile for other artists in the theatrical fields.
